A LENS ON THE AI MAP

Quantum computing

Companies building quantum computers, quantum networks and quantum-safe security, plus every company on the AI map that one of them is connected to, so you can see where this young layer plugs into chips, cloud and AI.

This is not a second database. It is the same evidence, the same rules and the same signal layer as the full map, with everything outside this neighborhood set aside. A quantum company matters here because of who it works with; split the data in two and that connection disappears.

Only the layers with a company in this lens are drawn. Color identifies a layer. Grouping and distance do not imply a commercial relationship.

About this lens

This lens draws the quantum computing layer of the AI map: companies building quantum computers, quantum networks and quantum-safe security, plus every company on the map that one of them is connected to, so you can see where this layer plugs into chips, cloud and AI.

Quantum machines are not AI systems, and most of these companies earn little revenue today. They are on this map because quantum computing is widely pursued as the next kind of computing after today's chips, and because several of them already work with the chip, cloud and AI companies elsewhere on the map. Inclusion is not a claim that quantum computing is commercially proven.

It is not a second database. It is the same evidence, the same rules and the same signal layer as the full map. A lens shows every company in its layer plus every company directly connected to one of them, and a relationship only where both ends are in view, so no connection is shown dangling. Every published connection is tied to a readable source, date, classification and statement of its limits.

Companies in the quantum layer (5): Infleqtion, IonQ, Quantinuum, Rigetti Computing, Xanadu.
