The sports desk for the AI economy
Acts of Evolution follows the AI economy like a season, so it makes sense for people who don't live in tech.
What we are
Acts of Evolution is an independent educational research project founded by Steven Dudley. We cover the companies building AI the way a sports desk covers a league: eight divisions, a weekly scoreboard of the AI Universe vs the NASDAQ, and nine questions that decide whether the build keeps going. Every fact is sourced and dated.
“AI optimism without bullshit.”
Who it is for
For curious people who want the whole picture without reading hundreds of filings. Every page is written for a reader with no finance background.
A chain, not one industry
AI is a chain, not one industry. We group its sectors into eight divisions. Power: Energy & grid. Data centers: Data centers, Servers & AI factories. Chip equipment and manufacturing: Chip equipment, Fabrication & memory. AI chips and networking: AI chips & networking. Cloud and compute: Cloud & compute, Infra software. AI models: Foundation models. AI software and apps: Applications. Robotics and physical AI: Robotics.
The numbers
On the live data showed 286 companies, 14 sectors and 853 sourced relationships. Those counts come from the live data on that date, not as permanent facts.
Three close ups
The space, robotics and quantum pages are close ups of the same map, not separate maps. Sector lenses.
The nine questions
The nine questions follow conditions that need to stay true for the AI build to keep getting paid for. How a verdict is set. The trackers on the home page.
AI Power Rankings
Every Friday we place companies within their division. You see places and names.
