Digital Realty: Blackfuel picks Barcelona BCN1 for AI inference on ServiceFabric
On 30 September 2026 Digital Realty said Blackfuel will deploy a multi-megawatt AI inference platform at BCN1 on liquid-cooled Dell AI Factory hardware with AMD GPUs, connected through ServiceFabric.
Digital Realty said on 30 September 2026 that Blackfuel selected its BCN1 data center in Barcelona to deploy and scale an AI inference platform. The release describes liquid-cooled Dell Technologies AI Factory infrastructure and AMD GPUs, tied into ServiceFabric, Digital Realty's software-defined interconnection layer. Digital Realty said ServiceFabric reaches more than 800 of its own and third-party data centers.
The public materials call the deployment multi-megawatt without stating an exact megawatt figure, rack count, or contract value. That limit matters: this is a named site and stack, not a capacity print with a number you can set beside a Ready-for-Service notice.
Why it sits on the AI map: colocation operators are productizing inference next to enterprise data via private interconnection, not only leasing raw power.
