Power Rankings day with a bounce. Our AI Economy Index rose 2.8%, per Yahoo closes. The S&P 500 rose 0.3% and the NASDAQ rose 1.1%, per Yahoo closes. So the AI economy bounced harder than the wider market (Yahoo daily closes, 6 Nov 2026).

Picture a league that got hammered last night and came out swinging. That is how today felt after yesterday's selloff. Fresh Power Rankings with a new form score also went live this afternoon, so the standings now weigh how each team is scoring on the field, not only how big it is.

What the Index tracks, super simple: the public companies that build and run the AI economy, from chips to power to robots. It matters because it shows how the whole AI economy did today, not just one big name. Our full basket, at its starting weights, rose 3.4% today, per Yahoo closes. That is a separate measure, not the Index's daily change.

Biggest risers

1. Karman Space and Defense, up 42.13% per Yahoo closes. Karman makes parts for space and defense systems and sits in our Index. It reported on 5 Nov, with record quarterly revenue of $202 million, and it raised its full year revenue outlook to $755 million to $760 million, per its 5 Nov release. That release is context, not a proven cause of today's move. Karman is in our Index but not in the Power Rankings. Good sign on the numbers. Jury's out on the jump.

2. Quantinuum, up 25.99% per Yahoo closes. Quantinuum builds quantum computers. It reported results on 5 Nov, with third quarter revenue of $9.1 million, up 233% from a year earlier, and it raised its full year 2026 revenue outlook to $31 to $34 million, per its 5 Nov release. That release is context, not a proven cause of today's move. Quantinuum is in our Index but not in the Power Rankings. Jury's out.

3. IonQ, up 23.42% per Yahoo closes. IonQ also builds quantum computers. It reported results on 5 Nov, with record third quarter revenue of $173.8 million, and it raised its full year revenue guidance to between $505 million and $515 million, per its 5 Nov release. That release is context, not a proven cause of today's move. IonQ is in our Index but not in the Power Rankings. Jury's out.

4. Oklo, up 22.66% per Yahoo closes. Oklo is building advanced nuclear plants that could power AI data centers. It published its third quarter results and a business update on 6 Nov, per its release. That release is context, not a proven cause of today's move. Power Rankings: not enough evidence to place yet. Jury's out.

5. IREN, up 20.02% per Yahoo closes. IREN builds data centers and rents out AI computing power. It reported after the bell on 5 Nov, and AI cloud revenue nearly tripled to $200 million in the quarter, per its 5 Nov release. Power Rankings: 9th in Cloud and compute, steady. Good sign on the rebound, but yesterday's calendar slip is still a real limit.

Biggest fallers

1. Microchip Technology, down 10.02% per Yahoo closes. Microchip makes the small control chips inside cars, factories, gadgets and, more and more, data centers. Its 5 Nov release showed strong sales, but its near term outlook trailed the consensus Investing.com cited. Power Rankings: 27th in Chip equipment and manufacturing, down from 25th. Warning sign. Strong numbers still are not enough to stop the slide.

2. Intuitive, down 3.36% per Yahoo closes. Intuitive builds surgical robots. We found no company release on 5 or 6 Nov. Power Rankings: 5th in Robotics and physical AI, steady. Jury's out.

3. American Tower, down 2.68% per Yahoo closes. American Tower runs communications towers and CoreSite data centers. We found no company release on 5 or 6 Nov. Its latest results came out on 27 Oct. Power Rankings: 16th in Data centers, down from 12th. Warning sign on the board, even on a bounce day.

4. Cisco Systems, down 1.95% per Yahoo closes. Cisco makes the networking gear that moves data inside AI data centers. We found no company release on 5 or 6 Nov. Power Rankings: 4th in AI chips and networking, steady. Jury's out.

5. Ecolab, down 1.68% per Yahoo closes. Ecolab treats water and keeps data center cooling systems clean. We found no company release on 5 or 6 Nov. Power Rankings: 13th in Data centers, down from 10th. Jury's out.

We have not established what caused these moves. For the risers, results were reported, and that is all we claim.

Also today: Meta filed a 424B5 offering prospectus with the SEC on 6 Nov for new euro notes (Meta SEC filing, 6 Nov).

Correction, 6 Nov: an earlier version said Karman, Quantinuum, IonQ and Oklo had no company news. Each reported results on 5 or 6 Nov.

Our take: Good sign for the Index after yesterday's scare. The bounce is proven. Fresh form score Rankings are also proven. What is still a promise is whether the political pause talk from yesterday cools off for real.
