Many planned AI-linked advanced reactors, such as Oklo's, need HALEU fuel that is scarce outside Russia; Centrus is one of the few U.S. producers. Its link to AI is indirect and depends on those reactors being built.
Utilities pay for low-enriched uranium supply, and the U.S. Department of Energy and others pay for HALEU production and technical services.
