Linear actuators are the single most expensive repeated part in a humanoid robot, and Sanhua is one of the Chinese suppliers reported to be positioning for that work while already supplying Tesla's vehicle business. It is a useful test of whether a mature parts maker can convert an existing automotive relationship into a robotics one; the robot actuator line is new and its revenue contribution is not established.
Appliance makers and automakers buy its thermal management components; robot actuators are a stated growth area rather than a proven revenue line.
