CXMT reports first-half revenue of 150.31 billion yuan, up 873.64%, on DRAM shortage and AI demand

CXMT, China's leading DRAM maker, reported first-half revenue of 150.31 billion yuan, up 873.64%, and cited tight supply and AI demand.

On 28 August 2026 CXMT, China's leading DRAM memory maker, published its first results since its July listing in Shanghai. First-half revenue was 150.31 billion yuan, up 873.64%, and profit attributable to shareholders was 77.61 billion yuan, against a loss of 2.33 billion yuan a year earlier. The report says DRAM supply fell short of demand, pushing prices up, and calls AI development one of the important factors. AI-related sales were a relatively small share of CXMT's own revenue (CXMT half-year report and South China Morning Post).

Why we file it. A leading memory maker ties a huge profit jump to AI-driven DRAM demand.

How we read it. Mostly price-driven, and the company says its own AI sales are still small.

Why it matters to you: AI computers need a lot of memory. Scarcity lifts prices.

What this doesn't prove

Company report in Chinese. The surge is largely price-driven, and AI's share of CXMT's own revenue is described as relatively low.
