MKS reports $1.25 billion of revenue and says AI-driven spending is rapidly growing its orders

MKS, which supplies chip-factory equipment and parts, reported $1.25 billion of revenue and said AI-driven spending is growing its orders fast.

On 5 August 2026 MKS, a US supplier of equipment and parts used in chip factories and electronics, reported second-quarter revenue of $1,248 million, up from $973 million a year earlier. Its chief executive said AI-driven spending is intensifying across semiconductors and advanced packaging, with rapidly growing order volumes. On the earnings call the company said its visibility now extends through 2027 and that it is doubling capacity at a Guangzhou equipment factory, which it expects to be online in the third quarter of 2027 (MKS SEC filing, 5 August 2026, and Motley Fool call transcript).

Why we file it. A key equipment supplier tied rising orders and a bigger factory to AI.

How we read it. Orders are rising on the company's own account, and the 2027 visibility is its own statement.

Why it matters to you: more orders show AI chip capacity is being built.

What this doesn't prove

Company statements: the 2027 visibility and factory plan come from the call.
