NVIDIA signs memorandums with six finance firms for AI compute financing platforms aimed at $500 billion
NVIDIA signed memorandums with six finance firms to set up platforms designed to mobilize over $500 billion of outside capital over time for AI infrastructure.
On 10 August 2026 NVIDIA announced memorandums of understanding with six financial firms: Apollo, BlackRock, Blackstone, Brookfield, Goldman Sachs and KKR. The plan is to set up independent compute financing platforms designed to mobilize more than $500 billion of third-party capital over time for building AI infrastructure, with pools of capital for NVIDIA customers such as AI labs, businesses and AI cloud companies. NVIDIA said the partnerships remain subject to final agreements. Its quarterly report for the period ended 26 July 2026 calls the arrangements preliminary and says they may not lead to definitive agreements. It also says NVIDIA may, at its option, provide limited residual-value support for part of specific projects, while the funding is underwritten and provided independently by the capital providers.
What this doesn't prove
Company statements: these are memorandums of understanding, not final agreements, and the $500 billion is an aim over time, not committed funding.
