KUKA is the European anchor of the industrial robot market and a major supplier to car plants. Its ownership by Midea is also a concrete example of Chinese acquisition of Western robotics manufacturing capacity, which matters as physical AI becomes strategically contested. Like its peers, it is now integrating NVIDIA simulation and edge AI tooling into products that are still mostly sold as conventional automation.
