Winbond is a Taiwanese memory chipmaker that designs and manufactures specialty DRAM, NOR and NAND flash memory, and security flash, in its own fabs. In September 2026 it agreed to buy Infineon's NOR flash and F-RAM business.
Most of its products go into phones, consumer electronics, cars and industrial gear rather than AI data centers, but it says its customized memory business (53% of second-quarter 2026 revenue) was driven by strong AI demand, and it is developing CUBE, a 3D-stacked high-bandwidth memory aimed at edge AI devices.
Electronics, automotive, industrial and computer makers pay it for DRAM and flash memory chips and some logic ICs.
