NEXTDC reports a 202% jump in contracted capacity and guides much faster FY27 growth
NEXTDC said on 27 August that contracted utilisation rose 202% to 740.1MW and guided FY27 net revenue to A$615 million to A$640 million.
On 27 August 2026 NEXTDC reported FY26 net revenue of A$405.0 million, up 16%, and underlying EBITDA of A$248.8 million. It said pro forma contracted utilisation rose 495.3MW (202%) to 740.1MW, with a forward order book of 565.1MW against billing utilisation of 175.0MW. It guided FY27 net revenue to A$615 million to A$640 million, underlying EBITDA to A$385 million to A$410 million and capital expenditure to A$5,250 million to A$5,750 million, saying AI, cloud, hyperscalers, neoclouds and enterprise are all driving strong growth. We file this because it is a company-reported result with hard figures and the company ties it to AI demand. How we read it: the Australian data center operator has signed far more capacity than it bills today and expects revenue to grow faster as that capacity starts. What would change this: contract delays or slower conversion to billing. Why it matters to you: it shows an operator planning a much larger build to meet AI and cloud demand.
What this doesn't prove
Company-reported figures in Australian dollars. No conversion was done. Contracted utilisation is a pro forma company measure as disclosed on 21 July 2026, after year-end, and excludes options and reservations. The forward order book is not yet billing. FY27 figures are guidance.
