Frontgrade Technologies makes radiation-hardened and radiation-tolerant electronics for spacecraft - processors, single-board computers, power management and custom chips designed to keep working in an environment that destroys ordinary silicon. Its European arm, Frontgrade Gaisler, has licensed BrainChip's neuromorphic AI technology to add machine-learning capability to future space processors.

You cannot simply fly a datacenter GPU on a small satellite and expect it to survive, so almost all onboard AI inference on spacecraft today runs on parts like Frontgrade's. It is a small, unglamorous supplier that sits underneath every claim about intelligence at the edge in space.
