AEP says it has signed agreements for large amounts of new load, much of it from hyperscalers and data center developers, and it has arranged onsite fuel cell power for AWS in Ohio and demand-response terms for a Google data center in Indiana.
Homes and businesses pay regulated rates for electricity delivery and generation, and transmission customers pay regulated tariffs.
